Marvel Minimates Infinity Fan Poll Results Revealed!

This summer, Marvel fans were asked to vote in a special poll, designed to determine the fate of six Minimates mini-figures! Four of these Minimates would make up a new box set, available exclusively at select Toys”R”Us stores and online at Toysrus.com; the other two would go on to an unknown fate. Now, Diamond Select Toys is excited to announce the results of the poll!

The Infinity Box Set will be available exclusively at Toys”R”Us starting this month, and will include Space Suit Captain America, Armored Hulk, Thane and Thanos, all based on their appearances in Marvel’s 2013 Infinity crossover. Each figure stands approximately 2 inches tall and features interchangeable parts. Also included in the set are four clear display bases, as well as hairpiece, glove and shield accessories for Captain America.

For those who voted for Mark 38 Armor Iron Man or Ronan the Accuser, have no fear! Both of these figures will be available as part of a Marvel Minimates 2-pack exclusively at Toys”R”Us! As part of Series 19, Ronan will come with Iron Man in his new-fangled space armor. Additionally, Anti-Sinister Six Spider-Man will come with Mysterio, Payback Wolverine will come with a Sentinel and Quicksilver will come with The Vision!

Marvel Comics is inviting fans to revisit the classic Secret Wars stories with the Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars: Battleworld Box Set Slipcase, as the new Secret Wars event gets ready to kick off in 2015. The box set contains 11 hardcovers, spanning the history of one of Marvel’s most famous events.

The limited box sets will be released in June 2015, and come with a full-size poster of Alex Ross’s rendition of the cover to Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1!

Good news for Guardians of the Galaxy fans! Marvel Puzzle Quest has just announced via Marvel.com that the next episode event is coming on November 26^thand is titled “Meet Rocket & Groot”. In addition, the duo will appear in their very own Versus Tournament a couple of days later on November 28^th. D3Publisher will be running the episode two times in a row where players can compete to win Thor: Goddess of Thunder in the first run and Gamora in the second run (second run starts December 1^st).

Start your way to winning Rocket and Groot as a reward in the “Thick as Thieves” episode today.

Brief Character Descriptions:

· Rocket and Groot (3 Star Character) – Rocket and Groot and both considered one character in the game. A creative duo the combines arms for a damaging and possibly board controlling attacks.

o Yellow – A powerful healing ability. At low health, the team can match up Yellow AP, which then destroys Team-Up AP on the board and heals Rocket and Groot.

o Green – A smashing attack that also deals damage for each tile destroyed. Can be very damaging at higher levels.

o Blue – A Countdown tile that pushes Strike tiles onto the board. May take some time to activate but can be very destructive when used correctly.

· Gamora (3 Star Character) – Gamora is an all-out damage dealer.

o Green – Stuns two enemies and throws the limp bodies into the third, dealing damage to the enemy team.

o Red – A low AP single target damaging ability that is intended to be used multiple times during the match and goes well with Strike tiles generated by teammates.

o Black – Allows her to create Strike tiles on the board with more being generated with she has tiles bearing her icon.

Brief Episode Description:

As the fight winds down with Juggernaut (in the previous episode) in Central Park, the Avengers are stunned to see a spaceship cruising through the atmosphere headed right towards them. It’s Rocket and Groot! Players will join Rocket and Groot as they journey on Earth as they seek out fun but end up finding themselves in the attention of evildoers including Doctor Doom, Mystique, and more. With the help of Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man, and others, the duo need to protect Groot’s DNA from getting into the wrong hands.

The original Secret Wars was a 12-part limited series that crossed over several Marvel Comics titles from May of 1984 to April of 1985. The event introduced The Beyonder to the Marvel Universe for the very first time and saw the omnipotent character assemble a new planet from chunks of other planets, which he then calls “Battleworld.” Against their will, The Beyonder chooses several heroes and villains from Earth and teleports those chosen to his newly created Battleworld to fight for his amusement. Some of the highlights from Secret Wars include Spider-Man finding the black symbiote suit for the first time, Ben Grimm staying behind in space and Doctor Doom stealing The Beyonder’s powers.

Marvel vs Attack on Titan

Here come the guardians

the “Marvel/Attack On Titan” crossover have finally emerged, including the news that The Guardians of the Galaxy will also take part in the tale.

Through Anime News Network, we now know that the Marvel Universe/Anime mashup will feature The Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers, Female Titan, Colossal Titan, Armored Titan, and more in a New York City-based story. Past artwork has confirmed that Spider-Man will also participate in the story.

Details on the story’s creative muscle have also surfaced. Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama will provide the “Scenario” (which we assume is the plot), Marvel’s Senior Vice President of Creative & Creator Development C.B. Cebulski will provide the “Breakdown” (which we assume is the actual scripting), and artist Gerardo Sandoval will provide the art. Marvel’s Executive Editor Tom Brevoort edited the series, with fellow Marvel editor Jake Thomas assisting. In an introduction to the comic story, Cebulski teased that a major Titan characters could die in the crossover, saying that “Nothing is sacred.”

The issue hits shelves tomorrow, as a special feature inside the latest issue of Japanese pop culture magazine, Brutus. The story will be published in English, with Japanese translations. We don’t know if the story will be published in the North American comics market, but hopefully it’s just a matter of time.
