The Tribeca Film Festival took place this week in New York and many films were showcased during the two week festival. Many different genres that ranged from horror, narrative, documentaries, LGBT, action, and much more. As with every year, there are a mix of films and events for everyone to enjoy. Tribeca never upsets anyone with the huge variety of selections of films and select shorts and television shows. This year at Tribeca, I attended a few of the great red carpet events in which I had the opportunity to interview the actors and actresses.
Before I begin, I was also at the Tribeca Talks Games: Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus event as they talked about Death Stranding. The event had a huge swarm of details that we have not heard about until this event and it was very informative. As a Metal Gear fan myself, I was satisfied.
My first red carpet event that I covered is for the film CRSHD (crushed) as I got the chance to interview filmmaker and writer Emily Cohn, and Actresses Sadie Scott and Isabelle Melody Barbier. You can check that out below as I am now looking forward to seeing the film.
Next is Morena Baccarin as we talked about the movie her and Alex Baldwin stars in (Framing John DeLorean) for a few minutes. It was also funny seeing Alec Baldwin make a cameo during this interview as well.
I spoken with Tracey Edwards about her documentary “Maiden” as we talked about the best and worst places she has ever traveled to, what was it like for her to be a sailor, and much more.
I also interviewed “Game of Thrones” actress Hannah Murray as we talked about the final season of the show along with Charlie Says. That movie will be focused on the three women that has followed Charles Manson as she also talked about how she got the role.
And finally, I interviewed Scottie Thompson as we talked about Crown Vic which you can check out right here.

Scottie Thompson is here this week at the Tribeca Film Festival promoting the upcoming film Crown Vic. She plays the character Claire and the movie is about a veteran LAPD police officer being tasked with training a very young rookie cop as the two cops chase down two cop killers in an action packed thriller. The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this week and so far, the reception of the film has been greatly positive. The movie itself is not the normal buddy cop movie as it is greatly acted and it made the viewers take it seriously.
I got the chance to interview one of the stars of the movie Scottie Thompson (Who has also appeared in Star Trek, 12 Monkeys, The Blacklist, NCIS) as we talked about her role in the film along with stories meeting fans, her time on 12 monkeys, a discussion about New York and Los Angeles, and her future projects. All in all, It was great meeting her for the first time this week and I am looking forward to the film.
I have attached the audio of the interview below this so you can listen. Enjoy!

The biggest comic convention show in Washington, DC took place over the weekend as many attendees of different fandoms arrived at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for Awesome Con. This is the first Comic Con I covered as a press member in that area and I must say, it is totally worth going to if you are in the area or if you are visiting Washington, DC. I was there from Friday to Sunday and I have seen it all over there whether it was cosplayers, video game areas, the panels, the artists and creators, and much more. Here is my recap of Awesome Con 2019.
First, I would like to say that Avengers: Endgame premiered the same weekend as Awesome Con and I think that is the first time that an Avengers film took place the same weekend as a major comic con. My thoughts of the movie is right here and caution yourself if you have not seen the movie yet or else you will be spoiled. Seeing the movie with many people who have also attended Awesome Con was a great experience this time around compared to going to my local theater.
The convention center is huge! I am not kidding, it is half the size of the San Diego Convention Center and that center is very huge itself. One of the features of the convention center that benefitted everyone is the amount of chairs and seats that were outside the show floor and panel rooms. You can literally grab a seat for a quick second at any time you would like. Compared to other shows such as San Diego Comic Con and others, Awesome Con was more accessible to seating than any other show I have ever covered. The main show floor was at the same level as New York Comic Con with the size of the show and the layout of the show started with the autographing and photo ops on one side of the end of one area, to the middle with the different variety of vendors, followed by the artist alley, then the comic book vendors, and finishing with activities for children at the end of the other side of the main floor. With all of the detail I just described, you would think that everything on the main floor would bee very chaotic. But luckily, it was not as everything was fairly arranged and although there was a huge amount of attendees, I never felt like I wasting pushed and shoved as I was walking to different vendors. New York Comic Con usually has great crowd control and Awesome Con’s crowd control was at the same level too.
On the same level, there was an exhibit that showcased all of the iconic costumes and props and key comic book issues of the Batman franchise. Seeing those costumes that were worn by the actors in person was fantastic and the amount of detail that was on each costume makes me want to wear one of them on myself. The ones that were there ranged from the 1989 Batman film, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Suicide Squad, Batman v Superman, and Gotham.
On the second level, was where the video game and tabletop games took place as they were both in large rooms across from each other. The video game section featured many console and arcade games ranging from the classic ones from the early 1980’s to the fighting games such as Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. There were also even carnival games at the video game section as well. Whoever in Awesome Con’s team came up with that idea deserves an award! I would like to also note that there were direction signs all over the convention center and I knew where I was going all the time and not once did I feel like I was lost.
The final level was where the panels took place. I wanted to go to the Mike Colter (Luke Cage) panel the first day, but it took place the same time I watched Avengers. I did attended the Amy Jo Johnston panel and I never knew how funny of a person she was until I seen her talk out of character. That one I enjoyed that Saturday morning. The one where WCW legend and WWE Hall of Fame inductee Sting was also great to see as well as he talked about his career, his run as the “Joker Sting” in TNA, a time in WCW where his entrance almost went wrong, When he became a born-again christian, who he would love to wrestle if he did not retire and much more. Unfortunately, That one could not be recorded by video, but I did recorded the audio of the panel which you can listen below.
Tara Strong has always been great to her fans and that was in full display during her panel. I often wonder how can she make a quick transition from one character that she played to another very seamlessly and she answered that question during the panel. There were moments that made everyone laugh and cheer at the panel and it was very enjoyable to see it live.
I also interviewed WWE Hall of Fame inductee and AEW producer Billy Gunn at the show and for a man that is 55 years old, he is still in shape as he was years ago. It was a great interview as we talked about the Hall of Fame, his role in AEW, and much more. You can check that out below.
Awesome Con was a great show and I recommend everyone to come to this show when it returns next year. There is a mix of everything for everyone to enjoy as the time will go quick as you are at the show. Below is a video I made showcasing the cosplayers.

The wait is over as The Avengers: Endgame premieres in theaters this week and I must say, It is worth seeing. After what happened at last year’s Infinity War, we see the aftermath of Thanos’ wrath and how our heroes grieved with being defeated in such a large fashion. Without going too further, here is my review and there are some spoilers ahead!
I really liked how they structured the story. Things are not okay between Steve and Tony, the defeat of Thanos is brief and anti-climatic, and then life moves on and suddenly it’s five years later and then the story really begins. Love Scott Lang’s part in solving the problem. I never really thought much of his character, but I liked him in this one. Loved the whole getting the team together sequence, and Thor’s physical and mental decline was equally hilarious and sad as hell.
The time heist plot worked for me. When I first heard rumors they might use time travel in the plot, I was both excited and anxious, because it’s easy to mess this kind of plot up. But thankfully that wasn’t the case. The whole New York scene was delightful. Steve fighting himself, Loki taking off with the space stone, ‘hail hydra’, Tony’s run in with the Hulk, the brief return of Pierce and Rumlow, the Ancient One…it all left me giddy. Clint’s and Nat’s scenes were tense (knowing one of them was going to have to die) and I honestly thought it would be Clint. Thor seeing his Mom again made me choke up a little. And Nebula accidentally giving the game away to Thanos was a very exciting little plot twist. Tony talking with Howard and Steve seeing Peggy was some well deserved fan service.
The third act was sublime. When hulk snapped his fingers and fixed the vanishing, I was ready for a lot of things, but Thanos blowing up the entire compound wasn’t it. I literally gasped and clapped my hands over my mouth during that scene. The following battle scenes are probably the best in the MCU. Steve, Tony and Thor taking on Thanos together, Steve picking up Mjolnir, Steve as the last man standing against Thanos’s entire forces (which was also an amazing shot that we see him standing in front of Thanos’ army), and then…then EVERYONE returned. It was one of the most poignant moments in the entire MCU. Holy crap, seeing that gave me goosebumps and made me tear up. So many awesome moments during that battle. Spiderman and Tony hugging, Scarlet Witch vs Thanos, Captain Marvel taking out the ship… so much awesome stuff. And then Tony wielding the stones and dusting Thanos and co. What a moment. Going to miss you, Iron Man. Also, I’m so thankful that they waited all these years to give us the Avengers Assemble in that specific scene.
I’m glad they took their time with the ending, letting all the main characters have a little moment in the spotlight. Tony’s goodbye, Thor’s choice to join the guardians, and Steve allowing himself a simple life with the woman he loves. They all deserved these moments and I’m glad we, as fans, got to see them.
I was a little worried about the 3 hour run time, but I didn’t even notice it during the movie. Time flew by and I wasn’t bored for a single moment. I’m glad they took their time and didn’t rush things. And I’m also glad they did not give things away in the trailers as I believe the trailers of the film were pretty much the first 15 minutes of the film. Such restraint! Well done, Marvel. It was such a treat to go into this movie unspoiled and completely ignorant of the plot details and to just let the story unfold.
Overall, I loved this movie and I think it is a worthy end of an era. Goodbye, Tony, Steve and Natasha. It was a pleasure knowing you.

Legendary video game developer Hideo Kojima and “The Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus attended the Tribeca Film Festival today to talk about the upcoming video game Death Stranding at one of the Tribeca Talks events here in the theater of BMCC. The fans waited all day in anticipation of this event since little is known about the mysterious game outside of the trailers.
During the panel that was moderated by Geoff Keighley, Hideo and Norman talked about the development of the game, what we could expect from the characters, how Hideo came up with the idea of the game, the way Hideo Kojima pitched the game to Norman, and much more.
One of the news that came out of the panel is that the name of Norman Reedus’ character of Death Stranding is Sam. Norman also says that much of himself as a person is implemented to Sam. Kojima also stated that it is an open-world action game and that he wants the player to freely make decisions for the character when it comes to actions, story, and traveling. This is similar to Venom Snake in Metal Gear Solid V:The Phantom Pain where you make your own decisions of how you want to complete a mission.
The main theme of the game that is widely discussed about is connection as Hideo Kojima intends the player to connect with other players and characters in the game along with the world. We got a few glimpses of that during the previous trailers. Speaking of trailers, the first trailer of Death Stranding only took two days for Kojima to produce the trailer and Norman Reedus had to get his body rescanned when he got new tattoos and Hideo even joked that he will add tattoos to Reedus’ body on future patches.
There were also pictures shown on the screen for everyone to see what was behind the scenes during the development.
Although there was no trailer, The last and the biggest news of the panel is that next month, we will get new footage of the game. Also, a fan asked if there will be a PC version of the game and Hideo stated that there will not be a PC version.
Although no footage was allowed to be streamed or recorded, I did recorded the audio which you can check below.

The year 2020 is coming very close as we are almost half way into 2019 in a few more months. There has been recent news about the universe of The Walking Dead and I believe it is positive news. Although it will be the final season for Danai Gurira as Michonne, more great things will come along the way for the months to come. How her exit will be on the show is up in the air right now as we do not know how many episodes she will appear in. With that out of the way, here are the reasons why I believe that 2020 will be the year of The Walking Dead.
ISSUE #200 OF THE COMIC BOOK SERIES
By the end of this year, the comic book series of The Walking Dead will be up to issue #198. In Feburary 2020, the 200th issue will be in stores for everyone to read and I have a feeling that there will be something huge to go down on that issue. To refresh everyone’s memory, issue #50 was Carl Grimes’ biggest character development of the series so far, issue #100 was the debut of Negan along with Glenn’s brutal death, and issue #150, Rick Grimes declares that they will go to war against The Whisperers. With issue #200 on the horizon, what do you think will happen and although Robert Kirkman stated in one of the letter hacks of a recent issue that “No one dies in issue #200. There, I said it. Cannon–letters columns count!”, he could either be telling the truth, or hiding something much bigger than we think.
THE 150th EPISODE OF THE TELEVISION SHOW IN SEASON 11
Many people may have not noticed or kept track, but if The Walking Dead gets renewed for an 11th season, then the third episode of the 11th season of The Walking Dead will be the 150th episode! Way back in Season 8, We got the 100th episode which was the beginning of the All Out War arc and that episode also had many callbacks to the first episode of the series. Who knows what they will pull off in season 11, but I believe that the group will go to The Commonwealth any the beginning of the 11th season if the show gets renewed for that season.
THE THIRD SPINOFF SERIES
AMC Network recently announced that there will be a third spinoff series of the universe of The Walking Dead within the next year and the news opened up many possibilities of more crossovers between The Walking Dead and the second show Fear The Walking Dead. The only thing that we do know of now is that it will be a female lead main character. We do not know where it will take place or when in the timeline, but this will be something to look forward to and I have a feeling that the first major details will be revealed at San Diego Comic Con. Speaking of details, this Segways into…
THE MOVIES ABOUT RICK GRIMES
Yes! This is what all of the fans has been waiting for and I believe that we will have the first details about the movies at the San Diego Comic Con panel. There will be three movies in which Andrew Lincoln will reprise his role as Rick Grimes and hopefully, we can and will see what happened when Jadis took him away on the helicopter before the six year time skip begun. The bigger question, is whether if Rick will go look for Daryl, Michonne, and the rest after he is healed up. Since Jadis traded Heath for supplies (You can read about that here ), Will Rick Grimes reunite with him. We should get more information about it in the coming months.
Are you excited for what is to come for The Walking Dead in 2020?

The 2019 edition of the New York International Auto Show is open to the public next week. However, this week it is open to the media and the yearly World Car Awards kicked off the event as many from the automobile industry along with the media attended. I attended the show and I witnessed one company take home three awards this morning. Who are they? Well I will give the answers below.
The award categories of the World Car Awards are the following:
Design of the Year
World Green Car
World Performance Car
World Luxury Car
World Urban Car
World Car of the Year
The winners of the awards were announced starting with the Jaguar I Pace winning both the Design of the Year and World Green Car. Everyone that was attendance was stunned as those two awards were given to that car back to back.
“For I-PACE to be awarded 2019 World Car of the Year gives our first all-electric vehicle the ultimate recognition it deserves,” Jaguar Land Rover CEO Dr. Ralf Speth said in a statement. “I would like to thank the team who have created I-PACE for their passion in making it so outstanding.”
The I-Pace has received numerous industry awards since its launch in 2018, having just received the European Car of the Year award in March.
The winner of the World Performance Car goes to the McLauren 720s. The 720 horsepower super-sports car from Woking, England beat its arch-rival from Gaydon, England. Anyone who’s driven this extraordinarily fast and thrilling machine will understand why it’s a deserving performance car victor.
The Audi A7 took home the World Luxury car and I have to say, it is a beauty to look at when you see it in person. And the World Urban Car was given to the Suzuki Jimny. The final award of the morning which is the World Car of the Year was given to Jaguar I-Pace for a shocking third award. Jaguar almost sweep the entire awards. I can see why that car won those awards.
The award ceremony finished after a brief speech from the General Manager as the attendees of the press and automobile industry gave the winners a standing ovation.

Star Wars Celebration is in Chicago this week and the biggest news to come out of the event is the title of the upcoming Star Wars Film which we now know is “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”.
The title was revealed during the panel that featured the cast and JJ Abrams on the stage as they discuss the movie along with the appearences of BB-8, R2D2, and the new D-O. There were also photos shown on the screen as well to show the audience what the characters will look like in the upcoming movie.
The trailer for the movie was shown before the panel finished and everyone finally seen a small taste for what is to come later this year. The trailer and the photos will have the fans talking for the months to come.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be in theaters on December 20th, 2019

WrestleCon just finished last weekend and it is the event that brings wrestling fans around the world in one large venue during WrestleMania week. Here, you are given the opportunity to meet your favorite professional wrestlers such as Rob Van Dam, Kevin Nash, Billy Gunn, Scott Hall, Arn Anderson, Rick Flair, Lita, Trish Stratus, Booker T, and much more. There are over two hundred different wrestlers that shows up every day and there are also live shows and even Q and A’s with select talent. There was event an event tied to this with Joey Ryan that could only be attended if you are only 18 years old but I will leave it at that. If you are a wrestling fan, this is a must go when WrestleMania weekend is in your town.
This event took place at the Hilton Hotel on 6th avenue in New York City and I have to say that it was very much organized with a lot of space used compared to previous years and I had no problem going back and forth to different vendors and tables as it did not feel very crowded or boxed in compared to other shows in the convention scene. On this particular week, I was the official Correspondent of the show working for Five.TV to conduct interviews and here are the ones that has happened during the show.
My first interview of the day is with the “Interview Queen” Alicia Atout We talk about how she became the Interview Queen and what did it take for it to happen. We also talked about comic books, her earliest memories as a wrestling fan, Her favorite music, and her website. From what I have been told by other people, she has never been interviewed before and it was a shock to see her interviewed. You can check her content right here https://amusicblogyea.com/about-the-writers/
Up next, is UFC and MMA Dan “The Beast” Severn. I have been a fan of mixed martial arts since I was a pre-teen and it still amazes me to this day. I was first exposed to him in the WWE in 1998 but then my friends in the classroom told me that he was in UFC and then I was borrowed a cassette VHS tape of one of his fights and I became a bigger fan of his ever since. We talk about his championships that he has won in his career, Jim Cornette, the Brawl For All, Connor McGregor, If he keeps up with the current product of both MMA and WWE, and much more.
Scott Steiner is a funny guy and I have been a fan of him since WCW. He is not known as the “Big Bad Booty Daddy” for no reason as we talked about his time when he was an amateur wrestler when he was younger and the accomplishments he has made, his time as the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and the infamous “math” promo he cut in TNA Wrestling his reaction to WWE Superstar Big E doing his version of the math promo. We joked around also for a little bit after the interview and he is a guy that you would want to meet if you see him.
I next interviewed former WWE Superstar Celeste Bonin (Kaitlyn) at the show and she is awesome! Even Vickie Guerrero made a cameo as well. Celeste talked about his time with WWE, her clothing line Celestial Bodiez, her time in NXT, a mention of Triple H and AJ Lee, and her workout routine. It was a fun interview. You can check out her clothing line right here: https://www.celestialbodiez.com/pages/celesteboninceo
Brian Zane of Wrestling With Wregret to me is the “Angry Videogame Nerd” version of professional wrestling. His topics and discussions on his videos are always a must watch and I have been watching his channel since the start way back in 2013. I finally got the chance to interview him as we talked about the origin and beginning of his channel, what did he look forward to at WrestleMania, who would he like to collaborate with, his favorite episode on his channel, a story about how the Herb Abram’s UWF episode was made, and much more. He was at the show for three days so I can image how he and the others are very drained since these shows will have your energy for most of the time. You can subscribe to Wrestling With Wregret right here as he post many great produced videos every week. In fact, my favorite episode of his is also the UWF episode!
My final interview is the biggest I have done so far this year and it is with Rob Van Dam. Rob Van Dam has been highly successful in everywhere he has been whether if it was in ECW, WWE, or Impact Wrestling (in which he has just returned last week), he is a name that everyone will never forget in years to come. His flashy and high impact style makes him stand out during the 1990’s and the 2000’s and to this very day. We talked about his return to Impact Wrestling, his new documentary and how it started as a comedy tour documentary that organically transformed into the major topic of CTE, A story about Vince McMahon, his research on CTE, and his favorite moments in the ring and how he got the call to return to Impact Wrestling. Even his girlfriend Katie Forbes made a cameo too and she also made her Impact Wrestling Debut at the United We Stand show.

Matt Negrete, a veteran writer on the flagship, will serve as showrunner on the 10-episode series he co-created alongside franchise chief content officer Scott M. Gimple.
On Monday, AMC formally announced that it has picked up what is now the third series in the zombie drama’s larger world with a 10-episode order for an untitled drama co-created by Gimple and longtime flagship writer Matt Negrete. The latter, who has been a writer and producer on The Walking Dead for the past five seasons, will serve as showrunner. Coincidentally, Negrete and Gimple collaborated on the season nine episode (“What Comes After”) that served as the last one for series star Andrew Lincoln, who will reprise his role as embattled former sheriff Rick Grimes in three movies. It’s unclear if the new spinoff will be connected to those movies. It’s unclear if any characters from either The Walking Dead or spinoff Fear the Walking Dead will have a role in the third series. Stars and fan favorites Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol) have “franchise deals” that allow them to move freely between all corners of the universe, for example.
“I’m beyond excited to be a part of this new show set in The Walking Dead universe,” Negrete said. “Writing and producing for the original series has been the job of a lifetime and I’m honored to be working with Scott and all the fine Dead folks at AMC in this new capacity. I can’t wait for the fans of the franchise to see what we’ve been cooking up!”
Few details were immediately available about the third series other than that it will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as viewers know it. Production will begin in the summer in Virginia for a 2020 premiere on AMC. The Lord of the Flies-like series will feature a new corner of the world. Here’s AMC’s formal description: “Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.” The order arrives as the original series introduced (and, spoiler alert, killed off) several younger characters in season nine.
“Showing audiences an unseen pocket of The Walking Dead universe steeped in a new mythology is a very cool way to celebrate a Decade of the Dead on TV and over 15 years of [creator] Robert Kirkman’s brilliant comic,” Gimple said. “Matt Negrete is one of the best writer-producers in TWD’s long history — I’m thrilled to be working beside him to tell stories unlike we’ve seen before, taking our first step into an even larger world.”
The untitled Negrete series is the first new series to stem from Gimple’s March 2018 promotion to chief content officer, a role he was given after Kirkman moved his overall deal from AMC to Amazon. Gimple and Kang wrote Lincoln out of the flagship drama so the actor could spend more time with his family at home in England. Gimple will re-team with Lincoln for three TV movies that will air on AMC and could potentially serve as back-door pilots for other series. Production on those is set to begin in 2019 though its unclear just where they will be filmed. TWD is filmed in Atlanta, while spinoff Fear the Walking Dead has used locations in L.A., Canada, Baja and Texas. Overall, there are now three scripted series and planned three stand-alone movies in the world of TWD as franchises increasingly become valuable to broadcast, cable and streaming platforms alike.
“We’re thrilled that the Dead will keep walking into a new corner of the post-apocalyptic world, a corner that will present stories and characters unlike any that The Walking Dead has dramatized thus far, and that is bound to excite one of the most passionate fanbases in television,” said David Madden, president of programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “Scott has been an invaluable leader for the universe since taking on the role of chief content officer, with a distinct and innovative vision for the franchise. Likewise, we’re excited to have Matt, who has been a crucial part of The Walking Dead family for over five years and penned many memorable episodes of TWD, at the helm of this original series.”
