The unreleased version of the 2017 film Justice League will finally be shown to the world on HBO Max in 2021. This followed years of a campaign that has been backed by the fans, and the actors itself to show the “Snyder Cut” of the film.
The film’s director Zack Snyder announced the news that everyone has been waiting for during a live Q&A on Wednesday right after a virtual watch party of Man of Steel as Snyder made it clear that it will be released next year. Snyder did most of the work on Justice League prior to it’s original release, but he had to step away from post-production due to a family emergency. Warner Bros. then brought Joss Whedom to finish the post production, and the vision was completly different than what Snyder’s vision was.
#releasethesnydercut eventually grew to a massive following and backup of support as fans wanted to see the film on how it was intended to from the start. Gal Gadot even tweeted the hashtag as well and recently, Jason Moma wanted the Snyder Cut to be released. Snyder admitted that the film existed and it was rumored that he screened the film to Warner Bros. earlier this year.
