ESCAPE ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES IN NYC
High-End Live Escape Game Experience Makes Its Debut in Herald Square District
New York, NY (June 1, 2015) – Escape Entertainment is about to take the live escape game genre to new levels. With a flagship location set to debut in Manhattan’s Herald Square district on June 10, 2015, this brand new, immersive entertainment experience will feature four uniquely curated rooms created by master craftsmen whose previous designs have been featured at the White House and MOMA, among other high profile locales. Each game has been thoughtfully constructed to foster teamwork and strengthen communication skills while challenging the senses and testing wits via clues, keys, passwords and missing puzzle pieces. Adding to the excitement is the fact that participants have only sixty minutes to win the race to escape.
“Escape Entertainment is proud to launch in the heart of New York City,” said Brad Albright, Founding and Managing Partner. “Our intention is to provide a fully-immersive, fun and rewarding experience so as to appeal to the broadest possible audience. In addition to welcoming the general public, we will emphasize the teambuilding opportunities that Escape Entertainment can provide for corporations and other groups. To accomplish our goal of raising the bar in this increasingly popular genre of entertainment, my partners and I applied our acquired skills in building various successful businesses and we assembled a tremendously talented and dynamic team of experts in the areas of set design, creative production and hospitality.”
Escape Entertainment’s Herald Square flagship offers three different 60-minute game themes, each of which can accommodate up to 10 participants. The inaugural themes are:
- Monkey Mayhem – In this celebration of all that is New York City, order must be restored from the chaos caused by a renegade group of monkeys on the run.
- Prohibition Pandemonium – Players are transported back to the New York City speakeasy life of the Roaring Twenties when the simple quest for a cool drink could land a person in very hot water.
- Alien Attack – Set on a distant planet in the year 2215, this futuristic adventure requires time travelers to quickly transform into master escape artists in order to thwart an alien threat
Following the launch of its first location, Escape Entertainment plans to expand aggressively across North America and internationally in its efforts to offer exceptional immersive entertainment experiences to the rapidly growing community of individuals and groups who are looking for new entertainment, socializing and team-building outlets.
Escape Entertainment is located on 39 West 32nd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10001 and open seven days a week. Advance reservations are required. For more information or for available reservation times, please visit www.escape-entertainment.com.
PRESENTS THE WORLD PREMIERE OF
THE SEVEN FIVE
“Stellar crime flick, which shares a structure with Goodfellas” – The Village Voice
““I considered myself both a cop and a gangster.” – Michael Dowd
AS SEEN ON DEADLINE
For Michael Dowd, being a police officer assigned to the 75th Precinct in crime-ridden East New York wasn’t a calling, it was just a job. Seizing the opportunity to profit, he stole money from drug dealers, eventually recruiting his partner Kenny Eurell into an expanding criminal ring of dirty cops active from 1986 through 1992. With such flashy transgressions then-Mayor Dinkins appointed the Mollen Commission to investigate a violent history that had been ignored by Internal Affairs.
A shocking twist in cooperation with authorities helped nail an undercover investigation, which lead to a headline-grabbing 1992 arrest that exposed a multi-level drug operation involving the NYPD, drug dealers, and Columbian suppliers.
Weaving together Dowd’s revelatory testimony from the investigation, dramatic surveillance footage and interviews with the primary players, THE SEVEN FIVE tells his incendiary tale.
This Friday at DOC NYC, Michael Dowd and ex-partner Kenny Eurell will appear at the film’s world premiere, reunited for the first time in decades since one ratted the other out, leading to a 14 year prison sentence.

An hour into the show and I helped the DJ set up. But nobody is here. Pulling up in a silver Honda cargo van cope shows up half hour early for tonight’s show which also features artist Ben Frost. although the beginning of the show was a tad bit slow,it soon got crowded once cope settled in.
Cope2’s fine art paintings were once again something out of the norm for the Bronx born legend. His canvases featured plaster, stucco, spray paint, oils and pastels. As well as some stencils.
Ben frosts paintings were unique as well which included heavily influenced comic book and cartoon like style.
Over all the environment was chill, laid back with good music and the never ending supporting crowd.
Other graffiti legends such as EASY, Sen4, Sev and camera man June Toress were some names amongst the crowd.
