SPIDER-MAN

Following yesterday’s big news that Marvel and Sony had previously discussed — and decided against — sharing Spider-Man on the big screen, Latino Review has heard from unnamed sources that the Spiderman split talks are actually still ongoing.

The article alters what was originally reported by the Wall Street Journal, saying that the deal was not for the company’s to share a trilogy with Sony retaining creative control, but instead for the two to share the cost on a new Spider-Man film with Marvel paying for 60% of it and regaining creative control of their most recognizable character. The mystery sources also tell LR that Sony is not happy with their film studio’s managing of the character and that they are still weighing their options.
